The Leybourne Lakes Housing Development is situated in the heart of Kent on the River Medway between Rochester and Maidstone approximately 27 miles from London.

There is easy access to the M20 and M2 motorways and nearby rail stations include New Hythe (0.5 miles) and West Malling (2.5 miles).

Local amenities include a Leisure Centre with multiple swimming pools, gym facilities and children's soft play, the Leybourne Lakes Country Park, supermarkets, excellent primary and secondary schools and the historic market town of West Malling.

The housing development of 'The Lakes in Leybourne' by Berkeley Homes was created in 2002 and 2003 beside one of the disused gravel pits that had been turned into man-made lakes. The remaining lakes were turned into a country park and nature reserve to offset the impact of the new housing. The lakes and reserve were later handed over to Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council in 2004. They are the current owners and maintain the lakes and paths.

The entrance to The Leybourne Lakes Housing Development runs from Leybourne Way in Lunsford. If you are using a satnav, the postcode is ME20 6GA
